Helderberg Wine Festival 2011

Join us for the 4th Annual Helderberg Wine Festival from Thursday 20th October to Sunday 23rd October 2011. HELDERBERG WINE FESTIVAL 2011 – How does it work? DATES Thursday, 20 October-Sunday, 23 October TIMES 10h00-17h00 Thu-Sun. HOW DOES IT WORK? Forty great wineries from Stellenbosch and Somerset West have joined forces to offer the 4th Helderberg Wine Festival. There are Winery Programmes and Crowd-Pleaser events to participate in. COSTS Each visitor has to purchase a festival PASS (wine glass and programme booklet) @ R80 pp. early bird special till 7 October & R100 pp. after the 7th of October. This gives you access to the festival and the participating wineries + participation in the various events on offer. All wineries also offer optional experiences, some of which have to be paid for additionally. (See Winery programmes) The Festival PASS is valid for all 4 days. You only pay once! Visitors drive from farm to farm to enjoy free tastings on selected wines and the other activities on offer. CROWD PLEASERS (All profits from these events donated to various charities) Saturday, 22 October Mountain Bike Race at Lourensford. Calling all MTB lovers to participate in this fantastic event with thrills, spills and views to die for! Sunday, 23 October. “Foot of the Helderberg Walk” at Eikendal. Walk along the spectacular scenery of the Helderberg at speed or at your leisure. Kids and families welcome. Sunday, 23 October. “Bikers Breakfast Run” at Vergenoegd Wine Estate. HOW TO BUY YOUR FESTIVAL PASSES prior and during the festival. Festival PASSES Winery Sales Points are: Blaauwklippen, Somerbosch, Eikendal, Lourensford, Vergenoegd, Waterkloof. and Kwikspar Fine Foods and Wine Somerset West and Stellenbosch On-line: Credit Card or EFT payment accepted 1.) On the home page, click on Bookings 2.) Click on Festival Passes 3.) Click on amount of festival packs and fill in how many you need. 4.) Follow the instructions and book and pay for your festival pack/s. 5.) Receive a numbered comfirmation e-ticket. 6.) On arrival in the Festival area on any of the days of the festival, visit one of the wineries indicated to exchange your ticket for the paid-for amount of festival pack/s. At one of the Festival Packs Winery Sales Points: Visit one of the Festival Pack Winery Sales Points, pay and collect your Festival Packs on-site.
