Bottling the 2009 wine

Monday 15 June 2009

There is an excitement hanging in the air today. Bottles are standing all over the area as a promise that the golden harvest is ready for its next step. A step closer to being delivered to the proud owners of this boutique estate. The stage is set.

The bottling machine is ready! The helping hands are standing ready to feed the machine. The tank with the first wine to be botteled is connected so we are ready. Bottle after bottle is washed and then filled to the right level. The cork goes on and the first wines of the season are bottled. A nervous but proud moment for the winemaker. After long hard hours to get the best quality grapes out of the vines and then harvesting it and nurturing it to end up in a perfect blend, the wine is in the bottle and now ready for inspection. From here it will get the Croydon Vineyard Estate 2009 label and only then will the winemaker be able to sit back with the homeowners and enjoy the true harvest of this elite wine estate.
